Jungle Worcester Concert reviews
PAUL MCCARTNEY @ Yankee Stadium Sat. July 16
Yankee Stadium adored the Jungle. It was evident from the start of the concert. A non-stop rock show it was, with the opening notes of Magical Mystery Tour to the two encores and closing with Golden Slumbers, Carry That Weight, and The End. The concert commenced at 8:30, ended around 11:30 pm, with no opening act or intermissions. Paul was in good voice and good humor, and the band was solid.
The setlist was pretty much the same as Citi Field with a few exceptions. At this show, they performed The Night Before and I'm Looking Through You, which was a delightful surprise. All songs were a joy to hear, and the explosions and fireworks during Live and Let Die were a hit with the audience. Paul also paid tribute to John and George.
For the first encore, a special guest - Billy Joel, joined Paul on stage to sing I Saw Her Standing There.
Great show.
